That’s right…. filled with dietary fiber, folate, iron, magnesium, phosphorus, potassium, protein, riboflavin, thiamine, vitamin B6 and zinc.
Adding the broccoli to it sets the bar even higher as cruciferous vegetables are considered to aid in cancer prevention! YUP CANCER PREVENTION! Broccoli may inhibit breast cancer stem cells! BAM!
One thing to note about broccoli, if you want to cook broccoli we need to cut it up and let it sit for about 40 minutes before cooking so we can release the sulforaphane (ingredient that can potentially prevent DNA damage, and metastatic cancer spread)!
Not only is broccoli anticancer…. so is the garlic and onion! I love the flavors but wow we even get more cancer prevention!
One more big one is the turmeric! Another cancer fighter and cancer prevention spice that kicks this recipe up even higher. To release the curcumin even more, black pepper should be added to this recipe. I used fresh back pepper!
